The name is Latin and means Dark Island, it was chosen due to my origins as I was born and raised in Madeira, a Portuguese island, where mainstream music such as pop/electro/traditional are most predominant.
Instead of having followed the same trend like the general audience, I went on a different direction, as I've been dwelving for many years now in the dark sounds of Rock and Metal, not so popular genres here in the island, on the contrary...
Thus, it is my purpose with the creation of this blog, to share with you what were (and are) the sounds that have long inspired me and surely will keep on doing so always, from the deep and ethereal Gothic Rock, to the harsh and mind blowing Metal, with a special highlight on the Portuguese scene, and of course, the Madeirian work as well.
