Grey Gallows - "In a shadow dream"
The successor of their 2018 release "Tears", is the full-length album "Shades" by Greek darkwave band Grey Gallows, launched in October of last year. "In a shadow dream" is one of the 9 tracks of their latest work.
Grey Gallows consist of Konstantin (vocals & keys) and Dionisis (guitar, bass & keys), whom are taking listeners into a musical journey in the sound of 80's dark music, ever since their debut self financed mini-album "Beyond Reflections", released in September 2017.

The Last Cry - "Years"
The Brighton post-punk/goth rock band The Last Cry, released its most recent full-length album "Lifeline" last Thursday, the 23rd April, from which comes this track "Years".
The newest album can be only purchased digitally on bandcamp (check the link bellow), in the meantime that is, as the band is also planning to launch a physical version soon.

Universal Theory - "Turn Me On"
Universal Theory is an atmospheric goth rock/metal band from Madrid, Spain, and according to them the project's concept is based: "On the pleasure of searching. Where every sound, note & phrase transmits personal experiences, thoughts & reflections through atmospheric, dark, romantic, melancholic & mysterious passages".
Formed in the year of 2011, Universal Theory is made of Jesus Pinilla (guitars, programming, male vocals), and Marta Martos (female vocals), and so far they have released 2 full-length albums, the first in 2013 "Mystery Timeline", from which comes the track bellow "Turn Me On", and in 2015 "The Most Attractive Force".

Morte Psíquica - "Labirinto"
Morte Psíquica, the post-punk/darkwave solo project of multi-instrumentist Sérgio Pereira, currently based in Montreal, Canada, just released today its new album entitled "Suite Nº Zero", the second full-length work after "Fados do Além" of 2016, and again like its predecessor it's also sung completely in Portuguese.
"Suite Nº Zero" is now available for digital purchase at Bandcamp, and it's also possible to order a limited edition digi-pack CD (check in the links bellow).
The tracks "Olham e Sorriem", "Sensações Descontroladas" and "O Conforto do Desconforto", were already featured in the 2018 EP: "Maneirismos", unlike the one we present in this post "Labirinto", one of the songs written and produced to debut in this new album. It was launched as a single in early February, and here it is the official video:

Morte Psíquica - "Fado das Almas"
Morte Psíquica is a post-punk/darkwave project founded in 1993, in Évora, Portugal. With the original line-up consisting of Sérgio Pereira (guitar & vocals), Tiago Borrões (bass) and André Gato (drums), the band made several live acts during this time, and in August 1994 they released their first material in the form of a demo tape.
Despite their positive start, from 1995 onwards the band entered a a large gap being in the shadows, except for some casual jam sessions, an inactive period that would last nearly 20 years, until Morte Psíquica returned in 2014.
Now as a 2 piece act, with programmed drums, it would not be long for the arrival of the first full-length album: "Fados do Além", launched in January 2016, and from which the following track was taken: "Fado das Almas".
In February of the following year, the single "Depois de Amanhã" was released, and it's available on bandcamp for digital purchase, along with two covers: "Contact the Fact" from The Sound, and "Soul in Isolation" from The Chameleons.
Also in the cover theme, it's truly recommended to check on YouTube their great covers of Joy Division: "Isolation", Sisters of Mercy: "Heartland" and Fields of the Nephilim: "Endemoniada".
By the end of 2018, Morte Psíquica launched their last material as of yet, the EP "Maneirismos".
As a band, their last gig was performed in Lisbon, in the Summer of 2016, together with bands like Whispering Sons and Bleib Modern.

Midnight Configuration - "Into the Groove"
A famous Madonna song covered with a dark touch? Everyone would say: No way!! But the British industrial goth band Midnight Configuration actually did it, and with a pretty nice outcome with this "Into the Groove" cover.
Midnight Configuration is the creation of Trevor "The Darklord" Bamford, when he started this as his solo project in mid 1993. About this track in particular, it's included in the 2003 album: "Sepulchre Rose".

NU:N - "In April of 1984"
One of my favourite tracks from Portuguese band NU:N, "In April of 1984", taken from their first full-length album "Nothing Unveils Nothing", released in late 2014.
NU:N are a goth-rock/darkwave trio formed in Porto, in the year of 2014, and the line-up consist of Tarannis M. B. Genesis on vocals, Pedro Eternal Sleep on guitars and Francisco Vaudeville on bass.
Their discography is so far made of two studio albums, as mentioned above "Nothing Unveils Nothing" (2014) and "Naked Until Noema" (2016), and two EP's: "Ceremonial / Carved Silence", which served as a prelude to the second full-length release and is still available for digital download at their bandcamp, and more recently "I Will Show You Fear in a Handfull of Dust" (2018).
Also available for (free!) download in their bandcamp (link bellow), are two seperate singles, two covers really, one is "Revenge" a darksynth 80's tribute, a cover from the one and only Ministry, and the other is "Morbid Love", a cover and tribute to the Brazilian goth-rock/darkwave band Das Projekt.
NU:N have already shown their dark and mournful sound abroad, in several places around Europe and sharing the stage with a few renowned projects of the Goth scene, such as Grooving in Green, Christine Plays Viola, Aeon Sable... at the Madrid Gothic Week in 2015 and in that same year they also performed at the Sacrosanct Festival in Reading, UK. More recently, in 2018, among other gigs they were in Hamburg with Aeon Sable, and this year at the Prague Gothic Treffen XIV with headliners Covenant.
They will perform live again today, at the RCA Club in Lisbon, along with La Chanson Noire supporting fellow countrymen Phantom Vision. For more about this show click here.
